After living most of my first 10 years of life as an Army brat, my family settled in the suburbs of Birmingham, AL. At the age of 14, I was diagnosed with leukemia and spent the next five years of my life fighting that battle. As a survivor, I am passionate about childhood cancer awareness and funding for cancer research.
After years of loneliness and fervent prayers, I found the love of my life on EHarmony. It just so happens that he is a childhood cancer survivor as well! We recently relocated from Alabama to Connecticut and are in the beginning stages of domestic infant adoption!

I write mostly for fun, but also to have something to look back on. I always love to see how my life has changed and how I’ve matured by reading through old journals.

I love coffee, Jesus and Harry Potter. Not necessarily in that order.
